OrendaBox Hotspot turns your Box into a WiFi access point for nearby devices. An Edge Console administrator sets the WiFi name and password, chooses whether the hotspot shares the Box internet connection, and starts or stops it at any time. Devices that join the network can always open OrendaBox-hosted web apps through the Box address shown in the app. Internet sharing is a separate toggle: when it is off, the network stays local and only Box-hosted apps are reachable. Edge Manager owns the access point through NetworkManager, including DHCP, DNS and forwarding policy. The app never receives interface names, host paths, firewall rules or permission to run host commands, and the stored WiFi password is write-only. The hotspot requires a WiFi adapter that is not the Box uplink; use Ethernet for the uplink. Administrators approve the hotspot management permission at installation or update.
